Chhattisgarh Horror: Passenger Train Hits Goods Train In Bilaspur (X)
Chhattisgarh: In a horrific accident in Chhattisgarh, at least six people were killed and several others were injured as a passenger train hit a a goods train in Bilaspur district on Tuesday.
According to the reports, the accident occurred on the Bilaspur–Katni area when the Korba passenger train collided a stationary goods train in the Lal Khadan area. Notably, the impact of the accident so strong that some coaches of the train climbed over each other, leading to panic among passengers.
As per the eyewitness, after the horrific train accident in Chhattisgarh, the administration has started the rescue operations.
After the further investigation, reports stated that train that collided was MEMU local train No. 68733 (Gevra Road–Bilaspur). It collided with a goods train on the up line between Gatora and Bilaspur at about 4 pm. After the tragic incident, officials have started the rescue operations.

After the horrific accident, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai expressed his grief. Taking to his X, he posted, The news of the train accident near Bilaspur is extremely distressing. The Bilaspur District Collector has been informed, and instructions have been given to provide them with all possible assistance and relief efforts. The state government stands with the affected families during this difficult time.''
He further wrote, ''Teams from the railways and administration have immediately sprung into action for relief and rescue operations. All necessary resources and medical assistance are being ensured for the treatment of the injured. The state government is closely monitoring the situation with complete readiness and sensitivity.''
